Nafe Babasafari
Nafe Babasafari is an anthropologist and independent researcher based in Kurdistan, affiliated with Farhangian University, Iran. Drawing on his extensive ethnographic fieldwork across the borderlands of Kurdistan and Iran, his research explores the human cost of structural and infrastructural violence. By documenting intersectional gender struggles, identity fragmentation, and everyday acts of resistance, his work highlights the precarious realities of marginalized communities. Babasafari’s scholarship provides forward-looking insights into the profound socio-political transformations shaping contemporary Iran and the broader Middle East.
