We love baking Allie’s delicacies for you – but it takes hundreds of hours monthly to keep this kitchen running! Allegra is run by a dedicated team of professional scholars and anthropology students & enthusiasts. The site has no external sources of funding. If you enjoy its content, become a Supporting Member, either with a recurring monthly donation, or a one-time donation in the amount of your choice. All donations go to the association Les Indépendantes which hosts Allegra and will be spent on covering the costs of allegralaboratory.net.

Les Indépendantes is registered in Switzerland and it meets all fiscal and other administrative responsibilities under Swiss law.

Since 2026, all reviewed content on Allegra has a DOI, which costs us 1 USD to create. Should you have access to institutional funding for Open Access publications, and are willing to support our work, we can also formally bill you for a higher, mutually agreed APC. This is a great way to support Allegra!
