Resonating with a Gourd
During a multispecies ethnographic fieldwork in a Danish private garden, I encountered a weird-looking gourd (Calabash) that was turned into a birdhouse.

Margrete Lodahl Rolighed is a PhD student at the Department of Digital Design and Information Studies at Aarhus University. She works with more-than-human design and specifically focuses on domestic plants. She uses multispecies ethnography to understand how human-plant relations are sustained and come to be and gather inspiration to design and build interactive technologies that can extend our relation to plants.
