Amanda is a Professor of Post-Conventional Anthropology with 30 years training in high-stakes, culturally diverse settings. Her expertise bridges anthropology, Indigenous studies, ocean and critical heritage studies. Through co-designed work with Indigenous communities, and earth-system researchers, she advances “plural science”: an ethical, non-hierarchical framework linking Indigenous knowledges and scientific practice. Her anthropology extends into energy, regulation, and cross-sector environmental decision-making.
