Semhar Haile is a PhD candidate in Urban Studies at the University of Basel. Her research aims to uncover strategies of urban living in the context ofthe looming climate crisis, in Freetown, Sierra Leone. Previously, she worked as a policy analyst in urban development and climate change, with a focus on secondary cities in Africa. Semhar holds a BSc in Development Economics and an MA in Globalisation and Multinational Corporations (Public Policy) from SOAS, University of London.
