Basit Iqbal

Basit Kareem Iqbal is a PhD candidate in Anthropology with a Designated Emphasis in Critical Theory at the University of California, Berkeley. His ethnographic work lies with Muslim refugees and support workers in Jordan and Canada in the wake of the Syrian uprising; recent publications have appeared in Qui Parle, Method and Theory in the Study of Religion, and Anthropological Theory. In 2019-2021, he will be a SSHRC Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of Alberta.
