I am a student at the Geneva Graduate Institute of International Development Studies. With a background in political science, my academic interest touches upon thematics belonging to anthropology, as I hold a particular fascination for ethnographic research in geographical areas and communities controlled by armed non-state actors and, especially, gangs. In my research and overall academic work, I frequently delve into the different conceptualisations and manifestations of violence, and how they are exacerbated by state action/oppression, or intertwined with gender and identity.
