The Allegra Reviews Team is expanding. Meet Rosie Gant, MA student at the University of Konstanz in Germany, who is joining the reviews team headed by Judith Beyer from now on.
About Rosie:
I’m really excited to have joined the Allegra team and can’t wait to work on all the new themes lined up for the coming months. I completed my BA at the University of Nottingham and right now I’m working towards finishing my MA in Politics and Conflict Management at the University of Konstanz in Germany. My main focus is on women’s rights, and more recently I’ve been looking at the intersection between female empowerment and securitisation. Working in the reviews section of Allegra is perfect because it gives me the opportunity not only to read things I’m already interested in, but also to expand my horizons to a wider range of topics. Politics so often focuses on the macro-level that it’s nice to work within a discipline that really looks at the human level and all the minutiae that makes human life and human culture what it is. I hope to gain more hands-on field experience in the future, but for the time being I’m happy just reading about all the dynamic ideas springing up from the publication of new research findings.
