Zeynep Kaya is a research fellow at the LSE Middle East Centre. She specialises in Kurdish politics and international relations of the Middle East. She carried out research on Kurdish nationalist groups' use of international norms, especially self-determination, and their relationship with the international society. Currently, she is working on the role of international actors in enhancing women's status in Iraqi Kurdistan. She completed her PhD in International Relations at the LSE.
