Young-sun Hong is Professor of History at the State University of New York and the author of Cold War Germany, the Third. World, and the Global Humanitarian Regime (Cambridge University Press, 2015). She has been a Fellow at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the Harvard Center for European Studies, and New York University’s International Center for Advanced Studies. Currently, she serves on the editorial board of Social History.
