Tolga Ozata is currently a PhD student in the Department of Anthropology at Indiana University Bloomington. His main interests are political activism, biopolitics, resistance and state violence. In his PhD project, he focuses on political subjectivities and community-building solidarity practices of the surviving hunger strikers in Turkey and experiences of political violence in the post-strike period.
