Sophia Hoffinger
Sophia Hoffinger is a PhD student in Social Anthropology at the University of Edinburgh. Her work focuses on the political passions and legal strategies of Palestine solidarity activism in Berlin, Germany, for which she is funded by the Alice-Brown Scholarship at the University of Edinburgh and the Leverhulme Trust. She received a BA in Social Anthropology and Development Studies, First Class Honours, from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in 2016. Her research interests include critical legal and political anthropology, human rights, and tensions around nationalism and racism in the ‘multicultural’ city of Berlin.
