Scott Head is an anthropology professor at UFSC (Federal University of Santa Catarina) in Florianópolis, Brazil, where he teaches at both graduate and undergraduate levels, and learns from his students. His research focuses on anthropological and photographic approaches to varied forms of street performance. He recently returned from being on Sabbatical at UCL (University College of London), where he worked on the CAPES-funded research project, "The Street as Scene: intersections between performance, ethnography and image".
