Paul Antick is a multidisciplinary artist, writer and educator. Until recently he was Senior Lecturer in Photography at University of Roehampton, London. He is presently an Honorary Fellow in the School of Arts at University of Roehampton and a member of the advisory board for The Garage Journal: Studies in Art, Museums & Culture. Since 2012, episodes from his Smith and Willing project - a collection of pseudo auto-ethnographic history stories - have appeared in numerous academic journals and edited volumes, including: Journal of Extreme Anthropology, Journal of Visual Culture, Journal of Fashion Theory, Afterimage, Allegra Lab, Photographies, Liminalities, Transcultural Montage (2013), and Memory and Securitization in Contemporary Europe (2018). His exhibition and performance work has been supported by outlets in Europe, North America, and Asia, including Walter Philips Gallery, John Hansard Gallery, Galeria Rusz, Belfast Exposed Photography Gallery, Czech Centre for Contemporary Art, Prague, and the Jerk Shack fried chicken restaurant in Roehampton Village. His recent works include the radio broadcasts 'Smith in Belfast’ and ‘Smith in Palestine’ (Resonance FM, 2018 & 2021).
