Olivia is a social and visual anthropologist. Her research is concerned with processes of racialisation and the built environment, indigenous displacement and alternative urban epistemics. She has been working in Chile since 2008 and recently started working in Bolivia. She explores performance, art, and other visual methods as practice-based and collaborative research methodologies. Currently, Olivia is Research Associate at the University of Sheffield, and holds a Wenner Gren Hunt Writing fellowship. She is the mother of two young children, born in Italy (2016) and in the UK (2020).
