Mélissa Bernard
Mélissa Bernard is an anthropology college teacher, a doctoral student and researcher in biological anthropology at the University of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her passion for thanatology and human anatomy first led her to study health science and applied thanatology in college in Montreal. Then, she went on to study biological anthropology at the University of Toronto, Ontario, with an Honours Bachelor of Science in forensic anthropology and a Master of Science in evolutionary anthropology. Her interests include thanatology (origin of funerary practices and death consciousness), osteology and taphonomy (decomposition processes and its effects on bones).
