Maureen Pritchard currently serves as Administrative Coordinator of the Central Eurasian Studies Society. She defended a PhD thesis in Social Anthropology at The School and Oriental Studies in June 2014, and holds a MA in ethnomusicology from The Ohio State University. Her research focuses on contemporary Kyrgyzstan. In theorizing the interrelationship of music and subjectivity, her work attends to health, pleasure, illness, violence and morality.
