Dr Maria Hagan is a researcher and lecturer in Anthropology at the University of Amsterdam. She previously worked as a research associate at the University of Manchester, on the ESRC-funded ‘"Acts/Crimes of Solidarity" project, which explores the intimidation and harassment of citizens and activists who act in solidarity with migrating people. Her research has focused on France and Morocco, and her interests include migration and borders, injury, encampment, policing and solidarity.
