Marco Di Nunzio
Marco Di Nunzio is an Associate Professor in Urban Anthropology at the University of Birmingham. He is the author of The Act of Living (Cornell University Press) and the director of award-winning documentary A Day in Arada. His new manuscript The Construction Boom explores how and why injustice persists and deepens in moments of rapid urban growth and what the quest for more just urban futures looks like at a time when the realisation of alternatives seems impossible, even inconceivable. Marco is also the founding editor of OtherwiseMag, a magazine of ethnographic storytelling, and the co-lead of the Ladywood Research Group, an unit carrying research in support of the residents of the Ladywood neighbourhood in Birmingham currently facing the threat of eviction and demolition
