Jonas Tinius is a social anthropologist at King’s College, University of Cambridge. His fieldwork addresses the intersection of aesthetics, ethics, and politics through the lens of contemporary performance practices and art institutions in Germany. He is co-convener of the Cambridge Interdisciplinary Performance Network at the Centre for Research in the Arts, Social Sciences, and Humanities (CRASSH) in Cambridge and the Anthropologies of Art (A/A) Network (with Alex Flynn). He is editor of Anthropology, Theatre, and Development: The Transformative Potential of Performance (Palgrave 2015, with Alex Flynn).
