Jack Mullee is a Ph.D. Candidate in Anthropology at the University of Chicago. Jack’s research focuses on urban cultures of science, technology and public reason in Brazil and Argentina. His doctoral dissertation, Sciences of São Paulo: Sociotechnical Democracy and Universal Health in Brazil, examines the technical and moral values that condition universal healthcare access at the epicenter of Brazilian biomedical science. Related interests include transportation infrastructures, political anthropology, software studies and the anthropology of number, scale and metrics.
