Frauke Stegmann
Frauke Stegmann is a visual researcher, designer, and lecturer in Visual Arts at the University of Namibia and a graduate from the Royal College of Art in London.
Her research explores design as community and ecology by investigating sites (in terms of objects, places, memory, people, the body and experiences) as opportunities for intervention to communicate an alternative (or additional) version of the tactile or visual experience, while seeking connections or disconnections between places, memory, materials, objects, ecology and language, and the acknowledgement of the role of the user or observer as navigator within this space.
