Evelien de Hoop
Evelien de Hoop is Assistant Professor at the Athena Institute, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam. With a background in STS and human geography, she works on the onto-epistemic politics of bringing historical research in conversation with transformation-oriented knowledge co-production. In 2023-28 she leads, together with Erik van der Vleuten, the Dutch Research Council Open Competition program on the connected histories and futures of Dutch and Brazilian landscapes-in-peril. She is lead editor of “Historicizing Entanglements: Science, Technology and Socio-Ecological Change in the Postcolonial Anthropocene”, a special issue in Global Environment: A Journal of Transdisciplinary History (2022).
