Birgan Gokmenoglu is a political ethnographer who works on authoritarianism, theories and experiments of democracy, contentious politics and social movements, and time and temporality. Birgan is currently Visiting Fellow in the Department of Sociology at the London School of Economics (LSE), and holds a PhD in Sociology from the LSE.
