Anna-Maria Walter
Anna-Maria Walter received her PhD in Social and Cultural Anthropology from LMU Munich. She has worked on the anthropology of emotions, mobile phones and changing ideas on love and marriage in the area of Gilgit, northern Pakistan. Her monograph Intimate Connections will be published by Rutger’s University Press in 2021. She currently holds a research fellowship at the University of Oulu (Finland), where she is part of a transnational, interdisciplinary team working on conservation, tourism and remoteness in Europe.
