Dr Anna Larson is a research associate at the School of Oriental and African Studies (University of London). She worked in Afghanistan from 2004-2010, conducting research on parliament, elections, democratisation and women’s role in the public sphere. She is co-author with Noah Coburn of Derailing Democracy in Afghanistan: Elections in an Unstable Political Landscape, published by Columbia University Press.
