Anja Dreschke
Anja Dreschke is visual and media anthropologist, filmmaker, and curator. Currently, she is temporary professor for media anthropology and innovative methods at the Department of Media Studies at the University of Siegen. Her research interests and publications focus on the theory and practice of audiovisual media and digital ethnography at the intersection of experimental ethnography, essayistic film and artistic research. Based on in-depth audiovisual ethnographic research she realizes films, photo essays, video installations, multimodal digital publications and exhibitions. She teaches audiovisual anthropology and media ethnography at universities, film schools and art academies and works as a curator in the fields of anthropology, media, film and art for film festivals, museums, and other cultural institutions. www.anjadreschke.de
