Aníbal is Serra Húnter Lecturer at the University of Barcelona. His work focuses on the corporeal interplays between humans and nonhumans as an ethnographic angle to study processes of ecologic transformation. Since 2006, Aníbal has conducted fieldwork in lower-Amazonian ribeirinho and quilombola communities, and more recently on the peri-urban wild boars of Barcelona. Most of his publications are situated at the intersection of environmental anthropology, the anthropology of the body and multispecies ethnography.
