In 2016-17, I did fieldwork on the materials of scholarship at the Wissenschaftskolleg zu Berlin, an institute of advanced study. For this investigation, I worked with “the stuff of scholarship” to create works of visual art which I displayed in Wissen/Schaffen, an exhibition I co-organized with artist and fellow Wiko resident, Claire Lambe. The images in the slide-show are accompanied by notes in which I reflect on this project in relation to ways of including artistic practice in fieldwork and rendering the results of research.
