Elizabeth Holdsworth is a Ph.D. Candidate in Anthropology at the State University of New York, University at Albany. She is a biocultural anthropologist with research interests in psychosocial influences on early life and prenatal development. Her past work has focused on how sociocultural stressors are embodied and transmitted to future generations through prenatal and early postnatal influences on physical development. She also explores how biological outcomes, particularly prenatal developmental variation, are interpreted and disseminated to the public, particularly in clinical practice.
