Tijo Salverda

Tijo Salverda is a research fellow at the University of Cologne’s Global South Center and a research associate of the University of Pretoria’s Human Economy Programme. Publications include ‘In defence: elite power’ (2010, Journal of Political Power), The Anthropology of Elites (2013, Palgrave Macmillan; co-edited with Jon Abbink), and The Franco-Mauritian Elite: Power and Anxiety in the Face of Change (forthcoming, Berghahn).
