Latif Tas holds a Degree and Masters in Journalism from Marmara University, Istanbul. He completed a second Master’s degree in legal research at the School of Law, Queen Mary, University of London in 2009. He completed his PhD in Law from Queen Mary in 2012. His dissertation “Kurds in the UK: Legal Pluralism and Alternative Dispute Resolution” represents a groundbreaking assessment of legal pluralism and the alternative dispute resolution practices of Kurds living in the UK. His most recent book is entitled "Legal Pluralism in Action: Dispute Resolution and the Kurdish Peace Committee" (Ashgate, 2014).
