Katja Seidel is an anthropologist with interest in violence and conflict, anthropology and law, visual anthropology, memory studies and human rights. She holds a PhD from Maynooth University in Ireland. Since 2014 co-organizer and curator of the Ethnocineca International Documentary Film Festival Vienna and currently visiting lecturer at the University of Bern. Among her publications are ‘‘The impossible only takes a little longer’, or what may be learned from the Argentine experience of Justice?’ (SAAS; 2011) and ‘History on Trial. H.I.J.O.S. and the Performativity of Memory in the Court of Tucumán/Argentina’ (Routledge; 2017).
